Journaling reads:
Written Nov 7 2022 - this photo was taken on Nov 7 2008 on our holiday to Tasmania. We had left Cradletop Mountain and were driving to the North West coastline, to a place called Strachan where we were booked to go on a river cruise the following day. As we drove I was totally enchanted with the scenery, the rolling hills in the distance were mesmerizing. I didn’t have a very good camera back then so the picture came out grainy and out of focus as well as dark as it was a rainy and cloudy sort of day, but whenever I look at it I can instantly recall just how I felt at that moment. As well as feeling happy to be on holidays, looking at those mountains also gave me a strange feeling of ‘being home’, kind of feeling nostalgic for something but not sure what. How uncanny it is to now live but a couple of hours from this place! No inkling at that time that we would ever move down here to live, so it goes to show just how much life can change and be so unpredictable at times.
Gorgeous photo! love that you used it as background, nice journaling, I really like the use of the bird, little house and branch elements, brilliantly done!
I can see why you were enchanted and mesmerised by this scene. You have captured this feeling perfectly! What a fabulous example of how to use a photo, that hasn't come out the way you initially wanted it to.
