We call those pin cushions. They sure are beautiful. We don't have anything that eats then here like that though. Super fun documenting.

@StefanieS There was a flock of approx. 8 cockatoos and they virtually decimated this tree in one sitting!!! lol! It is my neighbor's tree, I was thinking of planting one but I don't think I will now! The neighbor on the other side has a pretty pink one and they did the same to it! These birds will also use their large and hard beaks to bore into tree trunks to get a certain type of worm, quite a destructive bird!
