I love your composition! There is a lot of white space on this page - and to me that represent possibility - right in line with your new day theme. The soft, pastel colors remind me of Spring and regeneration. To me, the photo shows a little bit of angst - also in line with what you wrote in the thread about how its scary that hope and possibility of a new day is not enough.
This is such a wonderful take on the challenge! I love that you've incorporated a photo into the page and used elements to place the focus on your expression! Really stunning!
