Storm Eunice wreaked havoc in western Europe yesterday, February 18, 2022. In Ostend, winds reached speeds of 130 km/h. Trees were knocked down and large glass windows were destroyed. The sand also flew through the streets. Unfortunately, there are also 2 deaths in Belgium.
With this wind strength, some colleagues and I had to work in home nursing. My car rocked back and forth in the wind. In some streets it was really bad and I almost couldn't open the car door. In the Poststraat I had to hold on because I almost flew away... But my 16 patients received the care they needed, and I got home safely.
Eunice is now moving on to Germany, but I think it's blowing very hard here tonight, luckily I'm inside now.
