Those are super neat photos! I love that you got to see this happening. I like all the stitching and the background paper. Everything you put on this layout just feels right for those photos.
@Jan thank you so very much Jan. I remember one launch had to be in 1988 and it was a night launch... so beautiful. It was so great to see the launches when my parents lived there.
@cfile My husband took me on a surprise date one night to get an ice cream treat and then he drove to this big field near our home and parked so that we could see the International Space Station go by. I had seen it in the news and had been talking about how I really wanted to go see if we could spot it. So he surprised me with that date and we did get to see it. I got some photos and everything. Just a little blip in the sky. But I was so excited. So I know how fun it is to see something like the launches you were able to watch. That would be so awesome to view in person.
@Jan aw Jan, that is so sweet and special of a wonderful suprise date.. you should definitely scrap that moment My hubby is a big space person so we end up always going outside to see if we can see stuff. He always tells me what I am seeing in the sky We are in Virginia on the east coast so sometimes we can see the stuff that launches off of Wallops Island, but at a distance Exciting stuff for sure.
@cfile I'm so glad you get to do that. We lived in Arizona when we saw the Space Station. But we are in Washington State now. My daughter and I went looking for the Christmas Star in December and got some good photos of that. And on clear nights we can see a whole sky full of stars. We are in a rural area and there are hardly any lights here. So you see everything. It's just breathtaking. I hope to some day see the Northern Lights.
