I started out paper scrapping here and there when I was in high school. I loved it but it was so hard to keep organized and the mess was sometimes overwhelming. When I had my son, 15 years ago, I started playing around with Photoshop. I have always leaned towards artistic past times and this was perfect. No mess to clean up when you are done! It was only natural that these two interests combined. I love being able to sit down and let the creativity flow for as long or as little as life allows. Then I can just click the save button and come back to my project later with no mess taking up a huge chunk of my house. It is also really interesting to go back to the beginning of my journey and see the way my art and my style have progressed.
Memories and Traditions
I love pulling out scrapbooks and looking at them with the kids. They are such a beautiful expression of the way I feel about each memory. I struggle with journaling but I do my best to tell the stories that go along with the pictures.
The Scrapbooking Community
I have had the pleasure of being chosen for a few CTs over the years which has brought my scrapbooking to a whole new level. I am currently with Fiddle-Dee-Dee Designs and Forever Joy Designs. I also make pages here and there for Becca Bonneville. Being a part of these CTs as well as the Lilypad community brings a sense of challenge as well as belonging. I find it really keeps me engaged creatively and prevents me from hitting as many walls or droughts.
I am so touched by this page, first off, wow to your amazing use of patterned (plaids♥) papers! I am horrible at adding paper, and you made art. The fact that the scrapbook community is one of the reasons, just makes me smile! I adore the peeps that scrap along with me too! So encouraging and family all over the world! ♥
