@SeattleSheri Thank you Sheri! It was good! That was the pie plate that was from my Mom's family.. No idea how old it was.. It is a double sized Pie plate (18 inches) ... I am 59 and it was my Mom's Grandmother's from Germany 2 things my Mom made in it.. Pumpkin Pie and Baked Macaroni & Cheese

@cfile Oh wow, I didn't realize it was 18" (I missed your journaling where it says that)!? I love that it's been used for both sweet and savory cooking.

I love Pumpkin Pie, but Hubby is not a fan, and as there is only the two of us, I have to make do with small individual shop bought ones.. not the same at all. Love that you use your Mom's pie dish. I really like your layout, really elegant and makes the photos pop.

@Claire Grantham thank you Claire... it is only the two of us too... thank goodness it is my hubby's fav too... I would still have made a small one In the past I made the custard with fat free evap milk and splenda as I love the custard part I did that for me and have made a small pie for him still not the same as the real one from scratch I did give up making my own pie crust!
