So glad to put July 'to bed'. It felt like a long month. The story not easily read is about stopping by my son's former home in VA and seeing all the beautiful trees & garden work gone. Now a solid bare stone wall that was already reflecting the sun as I looked. :(

Good for you in persevering and getting the July "happenings" documented. Your basil looks good. My plants have grown big but since I'm currently trying to cut down on carbs (no pasta/pizza/etc) I'm not using it much except in salads.
 
@flowersgal Patsy when a friend gave me a huge yellow cucumber I was reminded of a drink I had in NYC of cucumber (slice) and basis with club soda. I make mine with just ice water putting the leaves in first so the ice can muddle it a bit. Really refreshing taste. NO calories!
