Oh you are a seamstress! I still remember thread on wooden spools. But last time I bought thread I was stunned at the price! wonderful page about sewing and the bits and pieces one uses.

Great story, I hadn't considered that all the white thread would be used. I made a big batch of masks and I used white thread, so it totally makes sense! I love your layout, with the pattern pieces behind your image and chevron strip. It all feels like a paper layout, with bits of fabric.

Loving that photo of the thread spools with the sewing machine in the background. That, alone, tells a story. But your journaling adds so much more, something I wouldn't have thought of either, a shortage of white thread...
