Precious

Time outdoors, appreciating the beauty of Mother Earth, is the most precious thing to me. The photo is of wild poppy that grows here in San Antonio, Texas. The leafy green part is rather ugly and prickly, to be honest. And, all sorts of beetles LOVE it. The delicate appearing white poppy flower, however, is quite beautiful, especially in contrast to the harsh pointy, prickly stems and leaves. And of course, I am fasciated by the seed pod.
