Journaling Reads:
It has been almost four years since you, my son, left for college for the first time. I miss you when you are away, but I am so thankful that we have been able to stay connected through your regular text messages and weekly phone calls home. You have no idea how it lights up my whole day to speak to you, and how wonderful it is to hear your voice when you call.
I get so much joy out of being able to bake and send little "care packages" to you. The first one started out as a surprise. When you received it, your text to me simply said "Thanks Mom. More of those please!"
Despite recent circumstances, you have remained on campus to finish off your senior year. Four more weeks, and then you will be home. I cannot wait! While I am thankful we have been able to stay connected, nothing will replace seeing you in person, and being able to wrap my arms around you and hug you again!
This is just an absolutely lovely page!! So perfectly done!! I love the journaling as well! I'm currently waiting on my oldest to come back from deployment so I'm totally with you on the seeing them in person thing!!
I enjoyed reading your journaling. In two years I will send my eldest to college
Your page is beautiful. The colors, paint and overlapping elements are just perfect.
