We started the pies Wednesday evening. Kaydence was a great helper. We made two apple, one pumpkin, and two chess pies. All but one of the chess pies were safe for Kaydence to eat. It was my first time baking pies, as well as Kaydence's, so we were not expecting them all to turn out well. Our apple pies were burnt on the edges, and the Kaydence-safe chess pie was not even edible… but the pumpkin and other chess pie turned out great! As two of the pies were baking, Rory helped me make the filling for the last pie, and the hard boiled eggs. - 11/27/19
2 out of 4 is not bad! looks like they had fun though -those photos are full of big smiles! super cute!! i just pie these days. my pie baking days are over!
Its hard! My daughter does not eat a lot of things (eggs, etc) by choice - having allergies is way worse. But now that she's older - she does the baking if she wants treats! I'm finally off the hook!
