Getting Christmas just right for Kai is overwhelming. It is an extremely stressful day for him. It is a change of the norm, and with that brings a lot of anxiety and stress. Kai can not handle the numerous amounts of people entering in and out of his home. The noise level of exited siblings and cousins is almost too much to bear. Let alone the aroma of smells coming from the kitchen. It is sensory overload. Throw in expectations of gifts that he did not or will not receive and it is a sure chance that a meltdown will be in the making. It is rare that a smile appears on such a day such as Christmas upon this Autistic boys face. Yet, this year was different. Call it an act of God, call it a Christmas miracle. But this year pure Happiness was captured upon the face of this sweet little boy. From the opening of the first gift, a angry bird piggy bank, Kai’s face lit up the room with a smile that brought tears to his mommy’s eyes. It was the first time in years that Christmas joy filled this little boys heart.

Oh Kari, I bet you just wanted to stop right there and revel in the moment...and I am glad you are able to in the scrap world! This is a page to revisit on those times it doesn't go like this. I love him poppin' out of the frame, and yeah on Angry Birds!
