@Dalis yes it is covered with ornaments.. not really themed.. it has bears and coffee and other plus ornaments through the years. Mom would give my brother and I an ornament each Christmas so those are on the tree.. some are ones I made as a kid.. one ornament my BFF gave me in 1978 when we were 16 (I have known her my entire life) and other Hallmark ornaments..Also ornaments from when hubby & I were engaged and then married... then there are 2 strands of tinsel on the tree. That represents Dad... when we grew up we had tinsel on the tree and even though the tinsel was only 25 cents a box, we had to make sure each piece was strung seperately - no clumping, and every year when taking the decorations down, we had to save the tinsel putting it back on the cardboard holders... My husband and I agreed no tinsel, no garland, just ornaments & white lights when we got married. I have the two strands just as an omage (spelling??) to my Dad as a giggle plus sentimental reasons. I am annoyed now as our pre-lit tree not all the lights work (after 19 years in this house- bought it in 1999) so I used regular strings of lights too this year, on the sections that went out, and now as of last night, the bottom portion is no longer lit. I said forget it.. next year the whole tree gets light strings!!!
@cfile OMG... I loved tinsel.... the more tinsel the better when I was little I remember them being 50 cents on sale at Woolworth's. LOL!!!!! I love that you still have the ones you made. Bianca's tree is all from ornaments we give her or she made for Christmas.
