Beautiful layout and I love that Dr. Seuss quote at the bottom. Yep, when our kids are grown and live far away one has to adjust the expectations. Grab on to the joy and wonder of Christmas itself and the greatest gift ever given to us.
I'm so in awe that you figured out it's not about the timing of the gathering, but it's the gathering itself. Having kids all over the place is rough. Not having family being together on those special holidays is rough. You definitely have the right to feel like it wasn't what you wanted it to be and like I said earlier, it is so inspiring to see where you chose joy. Love that quote and thank you for reminding me about what is really important!
This is a beautiful page, even though it's a tough lesson! My family has celebrated anywhere from November 11 to January 7. We've learned that it's better to all be together than to worry about what day it is. I love the design of your page and the touch of plaid.
