Lol I avoid this aisle at the shops! There isn't a page big enough for chocolates I've loved or would love to try! I always find brands like this interesting too b/c we really don't have the same variety as the US & other countries here - Dove is the only one I recognise from maybe the 90s here & Hershey I've heard of but isn't really sold here except occasionally when Aldi does international specials like Halloween -love the angled blocks & title alpha too by the way!
You seem to have gotten chocolate down to a science! We do the Trader Joe’s extra dark big bars (I like the almond ones best) that need to be broken into smaller squares. They’re a challenge to break up, so Dave does that (YES! It takes muscles to eat chocolate!
What a cool subject to use for your random facts layout! I like the big title and the cards with pictures of each of the types of chocolates that you've liked through the years. And I like reading your random facts. Great page!
@bellbird Thank you. There are plenty of chocolate options I've tried that haven't made this list. Since I've moved to Portland, I've really explored more of the artisanal more local brands. It might be crazy but the trick for me is to find something that I truly enjoy and then I buy only that. I have much better luck limiting my consumption if what I am eating totally satisfies me. I wish I could tell what ones they will be but I share them with others if they aren't right for me. Missionary & Moonstruck regularly sample at the farmer's market & cafe. That helps me also Look at that, more random facts!
@SharLamb I've eaten those TJ bars. They are difficult to break apart but delicious. I may have exaggerated just a bit to keep the journaling from overtaking the layout.... funny thing though when I sent it to my out of town husband he added a line about not eating chocolate if I'm not with him.
