choc mint b'day memories

@KarenB I like it too (but i don't think i've met an icecream i haven't liked so i avoid it unless it's a special occasion!) but despite the understated smile, he's really ecstatic at having all that mint i/c infront of him. He rarely gets mint because DD hates it and for the normal 'dessert' icecream, that is a regular item on the shopping list & in the house freezer, the kids need to agree on a flavour. There's only 2 of them, i don't think it's that much to ask but if it's been something they've asked for (before covid times!) when we've stopped to pick up bread or milk after school, they will have a full-on mexican standoff in the freezer section of the shops, each trying to persuade the other to give in, they are way to old for this IMHO. It was less embarrassing when they were both in primary! I have to do the empty threat thing and walk off, pretending to leave them both in the shops because they can't come to an agreement. It often ends with DD saying something under her breath about this is why she's never having kids, so she can pick the icecream etc and usually neither of them is happy with what we end up buying. I think it was easier when there wasn't so many flavours!
