cherry chip

This is one of my favorite little every-day memories from recently. My son's friend was telling me how she loves that her mom can find excuses to make a cake - a Friday cake, a half birthday cake, etc. So we started talking about cakes, and I told her my favorite is cherry chip but I haven't had it for a long time. She said she had NEVER had it. Well, it just so happened that she was coming to our house a few days after this conversation took place, so I figured some cherry chip samples (cupcakes) were in order. Turns out, she had told her mom about the conversation we had had, and her mom's fave is cherry chip also! So I made enough cupcakes to test taste and to share, plus I sent a box of cake mix home with her so her mom could make it next time she felt like making a cake. And, by the way, cherry chip is now the favorite flavor for 2 of my kids as well, and everyone loved it!
