This is page one of a 2 page spread that I did for the July Journaling Challenge. I enjoying scrapping the photos from this event/visit to Dad last year that I'm looking forward to doing again this year.
Journaling Reads
Every year I look forward to spending a week in August at Dad’s house. I chose the week so that it’s the same one as Chamber Music by the Sea. One of the concerts is a House concert at Dad’s home and I really enjoy listening to chamber music in the intimate setting for which it was written. Seeing the performers up close is really amazing -- and I get to talk to them after the concert. I usually go to several of the other concerts during the week as well. In between enjoying the fantastic music I spend time with Dad catching up, relax by his swimming pool with a good book, watch my dog Chester play with Dad’s dog Maisey, enjoy a glass of Prosecco with Dad & Ellen at Tides and Vines, and of course enjoy a specialty Margarita at Pico’s Tacqueria in Chincoteague while chating with the bartender. This year’s visit is coming up soon, August 2-11 and I am so looking forward to it -- can’t wait!
