This challenge was cathartic and about time for me - just what I needed to do and put off for so long.
For over 2 years I've had a good friend telling me to write these two letters, and this challenge finally helped me do it. I know I'll never send them, but in writing them I think I finally got out all the poison from my metaphorical wounds.
Thank you so much for the push to do this.
...though maybe I enjoyed the scribbling over a little too much Making it prettier to show off was a little challenge, so I kept it simple.
Challenge #3: Fill a page with journaling that pours out your feelings towards yourself or someone else (good or bad) and then scrap over the journaling with paints, embellishments, photos or anything else until you can barely see the journaling and it is replaced with something of beauty.
the scratch marks are the perfect touch! I love the idea that you wrote the letter to get it all out of your system and then scratch scratch scratch !! I can picture you doing it. Then putting the clouds up with the confetti for the rain (tears) and then the flowers that grow from letting go of deep hurt. This is a deeply moving layout for me. TFS!
Amazing...you really created such a beautiful page over journaling and thats what starts anew..the overpage looks so fresh and clean...I love the yellow scriibble it kept your page from being dark and sad so the yellow was a perfect choice...
oh Sara... You aced this and WOW is all I can say. I too love all the scribbles and recently I did the same thing when something was frustating and bothering me... I wrote it all down (typed on the PC) just to get it out and then I deleted it in stead of sending. Sometimes that is the best therapy. So glad the challenge helped you with something you have been putting off and I love the transformation your layout took to be bright and cheery after the "storm"... Hugs my friend, and it is so wonderful to see you scrapping pages
I echo the comments above! FABULOUS take on this challenge! I can FEEL how therapeutic it was for you from the elements you chose to embellish your page! I love how you have just a bit of the journaling peeking out at the bottom!
