Buttermilk Came Home

Description
Journaling: 12/16/25 | Taken from my ‘Farmhouse Daily Gazette’
December 16 - We might need to get something ourselves to pick up the cow. I found a livestock trailer, tho I tried finding one to rent and I couldn’t find any locally.
***
We have been patient little farmers, but today we got word Buttermilk is coming to her new home today! Farm life is just about to really ‘get real’!

Unbeknownst to me, B had contacted the farmer early this morning about the cow. I had been thinking of ways to bring her home too! The farmer said this afternoon and so it was set.
***
And real it has gotten! He came over about 2pm with his son – who he and E of course immediately went around the yard to find trees to climb. Meanwhile Buttermilk eagerly came off the trailer and went into the yard and even down the lane all the way to the end where the Turkey paddock is.
***
Later, after going inside, we saw her laying down near the house. In the eve we put her in the paddock with the turkeys. She followed us from up front all the way to the paddock. Then we gave her a few flakes of hay which she tore into.

Buttermilk is a special cow, and this page is so lovely! I enjoyed reading about her.

Awww so glad Buttermilk is home! I think she followed you as she likes people. Glad she is getting along with the turkeys and so glad you are back scrapping. Buttermilk is a pretty girl! :) I love all the trim of elements and other wintery goodies to adorn and accent your photos of Buttermilk, and I enjoyed reading your journaling. TFS and playing along with the Feb. Template Challenge!

@cfile Thank you so much! She certainly does like to be around us! She follows us all around or greets us when we come out. She has even mooed for us when she knows we are in the yard because she wants us to come around. We keep saying she is more like a giant puppy dog than a cow lol ;) She is always amazing us with her antics!
And wow thank you so much for the shout out! :heartslub
