Yesterday we were watching out the window and this squirrel had this thing in its mouth and started to dig to bury in our yard. we watched & watched. I had to get out binoculars to see what he was burying & it was a green pine-cone. After he buried it he was putting dirt over it and then grabbing the air like dirt to pile on top. It looked like he was playing the bongos! I got such a charge out of him as this went on for at least 5 minutes! We need to keep an eye out so a pine tree doesn’t grow in the middle of the yard!
@KarenB Thanks Karen.. he was so funny and I was watching and giggling.. He looked like he had a big bone in his mouth. so yesterday before doing this page I went out in my backyard to investigate and perhaps pull up what he buried and was looking.. he did a great job of burying as you cannot tell where it is.. so as I am looking, my husband is on the little patio and he says watch out he's right behind you! I jumped and hubby started laughing! Of course "Bongo" wasn't there , but we had a funny laugh.. I deserved it for trying to find Bongo's treasure! He literally looked like he was playing bongos though the other day after burying it!
Love how those circles really set off your photos and the border is wonderful. We, too, have squirrels in the winter but right now it is the rabbits who keep us entertained in our back yard.
@flowersgal yes Rabbits in my backyard do entertain me all the time too... sometimes there are three and then they run after each other.. my husband gets a kick out of me giggling as I enjoy my little critters outside!
This was me this morning - except it was a California Scrub Jay and he was busy planting acorns in the yard LOL! Great capture on the squirrel! I love your blending and brushwork, and the little squirrel flair is too cute. Gorgeous page, Christa.
