JOURNALING: Bronze bison, 1.25 times life size, stampede through six blocks in downtown Omaha Nebraska, uniting two public art sites titled Pioneer Courage and Spirit of Nebraska’s Wilderness. One bison even charges through the corner of a building. This massive display, covering over five city blocks, is one of the largest bronze and stainless steel works of art in the country. The creator of the bison which include tree bulls, two cows, some yearlings and calves, is Swedish sculptor Kent Ullberg known for his monumental wildlife sculptures. 1/24/13
