Brian the Bear has no idea how much he really means to Tige and his family.
That bear is a small but powerful tie to Tige’s great Aunty Laurel. You see, this
bear was sitting on a shelf in a shop a long way away from where he lives now.He was the only bear too so he was lonely & desperate to find his own forever home.Then Aunty Lol saw him and knew straight away that there was a little boy who would love this bear more than anything in this world. So she packed the bear in a box and postmarked it for Queensland. Thats over 1200 kms away, so bear had a long journey ahead before he would finally meet his forever family. That was eight years ago now but it wasn’t until 6 years ago that Brian was officially named. You see he had to wait until the little boy could talk before he could be given his name.
Tige & BB are the best of friends. EST 2011

oh Em, what a sweet story and what a sweet bear. Tige is going to love to read this as your journaling reads like a bedtime story.. I love the b/w photos of Brian the Bear and the one of Tige giving Brian the big squeeze. He will keep his bear forever. [I still have my first bear that was a hand me down so now that I am 57 I have to say that the bear is at least 62 years if not more as my brother (who is now 62) was a baby when there is a photo of the bear at my grandparent's house in a Christmas Stocking...] Brian the Bear is a treasure that Tige will have forever .. So glad you documented it.. Love this page with all your clustering.. truly beautiful Em!

@cfile aww thanks lovely :) I also have a bear called Floppy. She/he (depended on my mood on the day) was knitted by my grandmother. I still have him/her but packed away in tissue paper because the wool has seen better days. They are precious and were so lucky to still have those keepsakes ;)
