Best-in-Show

This is an ATC featuring Rumor, the German Shepherd Dog voted Best in Show at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show at Madison Square Garden in NYC last night. Rumor won the Herding Group Monday evening and vied with 6 other group winners to come out as top dog on Valentine's Day. Watching the event on TV, I couldn't stop smiling when I saw her parading around the ring Monday night. She was my choice for BIS from that moment on.
This is the second time a German Shepherd Dog has gone BIS at Westminster. I can vividly remember seeing "Manhattan" on TV waiting to go into the ring. He brought tears to my eyes because of how magnificent he was. There was no other dog those two nights that was even on my RADAR. I only had eyes for Manhattan. But, I can't believe that was THIRTY YEARS AGO! Over the many years I've watched the show, there have been other dogs I've loved, but none of them remains as clear in my mind as the perfect German Shepherd Dog - Manhattan.
