i have always loved this photo of my mom from Sept 2010. I had just gotten my Canon 5D Mark II and was playing around with it. I LOVED the bokeh I was able to get with this shot. A few months after I took this, my mom was diagnosed with lung cancer. As she has never smoked, it was a huge shock. Thankfully, it was found very early and she was able to have robotic lung surgery to remove the tumor and the section of her lung that the tumor was in. She is completely fine now, and has even gone into a new career- as a realtor after being a RN for many years.
