Barbershop

JOURNALING: Barbershop singing at its best when the Gainesville Harmony Show Chorus (women) combined with the Gainesville Barbergators (men) to present “Holiday Harmonies V – Songs of the Season” on Saturday, December 9, 2017, at a nearby church. The church was decorated for the season with nutcrackers and holly swags. Male and female barbershop-style quartets alternated with the full men’s or women’s choruses to sing classic seasonal songs such as the titles on the word strips (men’s songs on red strips, women’s on green). At the end, both full choruses combined to sing four songs (white strips). The close-up is of the single person who took the open invitation of the two groups to join them to learn a few songs and sing with them on stage! To set this brave man apart, he wore a red vest while the other men wore green. A fun event for all.
