northern Alabama-- it starts back WAY early-- but we get a week off in October, a week off in March, two and a half weeks off in December and school ends before Memorial Day.

What a great series of photos of the kids heading back to school. Your school does start early! I really like the kraft paper background with the colour paper bordering it and the colourful strips of papers under the photos. Looks fabulous!

To me it always seems so cruel to send kids back to school in August, but here in Toronto August is the hottest month of the year! I suppose in Alabama the weather doesn't change all that much throughout the year!

@MelanieB - Oh, you would be surprised! Our weather changes-- we go from tornado season to hotter than Hades, then (if we are lucky) we get the one day of snow season where we all freak out and buy out the store of bread and milk. Plus, the rainy season. Oh-- and October aka Perfection!
