Journaling:
I love this time of year. The shift between summer and autumn, when the days get shorter, the air crispier and everything settles into a calmer pace. It is a time for reflection and for recharging the batteries. It is a time for gratitude for all that life gives you.
I had been thinking for a while about reusing the moss heart which was starting to look a bit boring and making a wreath for the front door and finally I got around to collecting some autumnal plants on one of my walks. I picked maple leaves, ferns, rowan berries and leaves, small apples, rose hips and ivy. I finished it off with a string of light around the heart. Unfortunately there was no timer on it, so I have to turn it on and off myself, but think I'll buy a new one when I change to another decoration. So nice with autumnal beauty on the door.
