A lovely heritage keepsake! And I can appreciate the writing of your mother. Maybe she associated herself as "Mother", or maybe she gave you the photo and was detailing who was in it? Mom gave me a number of photos and she addressed herself on it as Mommy or Mom.

@mcurtt - thanks. My mother was a 3rd grade teacher for many years and that was the year (in those days) when we were taught cursive. She had beautiful handwriting herself which did not change even in her later years (a gift I did not inherit unfortunately).
