- We were thinking of going for edible Christmas presents from the boys this year. I found a recipe for candied citrus that sounded really good. Sliced citrus in a water bath, then in syrup- then dry. Easy peasy! No way.
I have no idea what we did wrong, but it never turned out to be candied and crispy! It tasted like bitter lemon peel with sugar on it. We made caramels instead.
