Journaling reads: Dad finished our basement in Deer Park, adding a bar. They moved in in 1958, and with the finished basement, it gave us extra living space. In the beginning before a lot of the family moved, we would have a lot of parties especially for the holidays. They always hosted New Year’s Eve parties too, for many years in the early 1960’s, as it was Grandma & Grandpa File’s Anniversary and we were little. By them hosting the parties, they never had to worry about babysitters for us. Anyway, I love this photo of Mom, not only posing, but showing off the brand new bar, and bar stools! Let’s Party!!!
