Another Great Challenge!...Using Shapes As A Contrast To Other Shapes & Textures Is Something Scrapbookers Do Quite Often...Sometimes Without Realizing It Or Intentionally...Either Way...I Went In A Completely Different Direction Theme-Wise Than What I Had Originally Planned To Do...
*The Contrasts In My Layout...Start With The Use Of All The Circles...In Which There Are Many...Element Wise & In The Photo I Used Where You See Many Round Ornaments In the Trees...The Larger Darker Circle With All The Texture Is Actually A Photo Of Stained Glass That I Cut Into a Circle For Further Contrast...And This Is In Direct Contrast To The Rectangle Photo & The Square-Shaped Layout...Which Also Contrasts To The Texture Of The Paper Albeit Not A Lot Of Texture But It Is There...If You Look At The Photo You Can See The Church Steeple That Is Shaped Like A Triangle & The Rather Large Tree Just Below Is Also Triangle-Ish-Shaped...And Finally The Many Different Glitters That I Used Where I Deliberately Applied A Different Texture To Each One To Further The Contrast...
*For My Holiday Shine Layout-I Used:
*Countdown To Christmas-Little Butterfly Wings
*December Memories-The Committed Crafter
*Down The Chimney & Fa La La Seasons Greetings-Pink Reptile Designs
*Home For The Holidays-Sahlin Studio
VERY pretty and magical! The various contrasting shapes/patterns you have chosen for the layout are simply brilliant! Love the touch of glitz that really makes this layout stand out in the gallery! Brilliant work!
