The photo we took going from the Porto Seguro, (Bahia, Brazil) (north east) airport going to Arraial D'Ajuda & Trancoso, this tarmac road was only built in for the 199/2000 celebrations of the 500 years of Brazil, as there was that the Portuguese Pedro Alvarez Cabral discovered Brazil....up until then, we would cross the river in a barge, then drive in a dirt road for about an hour to get to Trancoso (were we lived) this was one of the most amazing (if not THE most) drives I have ever had the pleasure of having driven
