I love the picture of your literally hugging your tree. It's always sad when they die, but this page is a perfect way to memorize your tree. Great mix of papers too!
Great story and great page Patsy. I think we realize our connection with nature when we have to cut a tree. I went past my old house where my mother had planted a trio of birch trees for me decades ago, and someone cut them in half. It broke my heart.
I absolutely love how you've documented this! LOVE your title and the picture of you hugging your tree. I have a Japanese maple too and it's my favorite tree in our yard!
