I used the template from Katie Pertiet, called Keep the Focus. I can't seem to find her name here. I feel like I just bought this three months ago. My migraine may be doing the talking for me. This challenge got me in the feels. My in laws saved every single thing, I asked my husband if there was a baby's first toot in a bottle somewhere and he said probably. I truly felt bad for my brother's family having to empty that house. Later, they emptied his mother's house as she is in a nursing home for dementia. I took this photo of them when I was in college. Sorry for the long story. These are some of the many ticket stubs saved and scanned by me. There is an extraction mistake on one, ugh.
Even with my own memorabilia, it is a blessing and but also somewhat of a burden. This is why try to scan everything and keep it digitally as you're doing -- I had a project a few years ago where I went through about 8 boxes of stuff from my childhood and scanned what I wanted to scan and tossed it all. It was such a relief. In any event, their saving helped make this wonderful page -- absolutely love the photo and items from their lives.
@dawnmarch@HeatherB@garrynkim@sharonb@ajm Thank you so much for your kind words, it means very much to me! I am thankful that someone pointed out to me that Katie Pertiet is no longer working with the Lilypad, and I was really quite happy to make a do-over of this page. It's just fine for my person collection and for Facebook. I love my in laws as much as my own parents.
