Description:
There was a time when our relationship

with our son was strained. Becoming an adult

can be a challenge for some. But it

has been on the mend for several years.

I really missed the precious way of

relating to each other we had shared. It

was awkward and saddened me a great deal.

He was my “Desert Storm” baby and we were

inseparable then it seemed.

During a family game night he startled me

with this pig. Every time I let my guard down,

he would make it squeak

and I would jump! He kept catching me off guard.

This continued for over an hour.

We were nearly on the floor! It was hard to

stay focused on the game were playing.

It was a breakthrough for him & me.

What I had loved before about him had

been restored. We are close again,

thanks in part to that crazy purple pig!

Wonderful story and pictures, Amanda. Sometimes it takes something funny/crazy to get past some of the things that have been in the way. I can totally understand how this could happen, having the same kind of things in my own family. Humor takes people a long way it they just let it.
