That is a healthy looking crop of acorn squash. I so love fall squash! We have some gem squash almost ready to harvest. They are very similar to acorn squash, and are excellent with some butter and a little black pepper. Enjoy your squash! Great use of the template!
i have to ask because i had no idea this variety even existed but is black-ish their ripe colour?? and i hope they grow bigger than an acorn! love that you have your own crop to harvest though, i am sure you can taste the difference btwn home grown and store bought!
Looks like a good harvest! I love the light colored elements you used to complement the dark leaves and squash in the photo. I also love the texture of the big circle!
@bellbird... the color of the ripened acorn squash is a very dark green, the last 2 on the ends I rolled over to ripen the side that had been on the ground... I didn't plant them, but am so glad they grew (the vine extended about 10 feet long lol) they are about the size of a small cantalope)
