Journaling:
I was sitting out on the porch, looking into the garden, when I noticed a squirrel perched in the birch tree. It just sat there, completely still, looking a bit worn out. I went inside to grab a bowl of water and a handful of mixed nuts, planning to place them by the tree. I was sure it would run off the moment I got closer, but it didn’t move at all. I set everything down on a board resting between two branches in the tree, then quietly stepped back to wait.
After a minute, I saw it climb down and sniff at the nuts. Soon enough, it was happily crunching away, one nut after another. It even took a sip from the water bowl. When I came back to check half an hour later, it seemed much livelier and not long after, we watched it scamper off along the neighbor’s fence. My little good deed for the day
Oh what a sweet photo of the red squirrel! I love the tufts of hair behind his ears! Just precious!!! Aren't you sweet putting out water and nuts for it! That is an amazing photo Ann-Sofie! Love the sweet cluster and reading your journaling. TFS and playing along with the Nature Photography challenge!
