A Christmas to Remember

For Christmas one year when we were kids my dad was working out of town. Due to the bad economy he had been laid off his regular job and the only way he could find work was to take a job out of our area. He was not able to come home for Christmas so we loaded the car full of presents and a small tree and drove to him. He was staying in an camper trailer in a small RV park. I really cannot even remember where it was at but i remember my mom being so nervous because she hates driving on freeways and it was so cold and she was afraid it would snow. Well it did not snow on the way up but once we got there and got everything situated it started to snow and stick. We were so excited because we really had not seen snow fall before being from Bakersfield California. It was very cold but at our age it didn't bother us at all. We went outside and built a snowman and had the best time ever celebrating Christmas in the snow. Its the only time I have ever had Christmas in the snow and I have to admit to remembering it as a fond memory even though now I am not overly fond of snow. I really cannot remember how long we stay or even what I got that year but i remember being in the camping trailer and I remember it being so cold and the snow. These photo’s are not from our Christmas I don’t know if we even have any but they represent the memory of that Snowy Christmas day.
