8th Grade Field Trip: Washington, D.C. (L)

Photos from my son's 8th grade field trip to Washington, D.C. last week. This is the 1st of a 2 page layout.

For the March photography challenge, I had the goal of getting a sunset photo, but managed a sunrise one too. It was an early start getting to the school while it was still dark. We took charter buses from NC to Washington, D.C. and happened to be crossing a lake at sunrise. Made an interesting (albeit slightly blurry ) photo.

My sunset photo was taken at the 9/11 Memorial at the Pentagon. My first time visiting any of the 9/11 memorials. I'm sure it's beautiful and moving any time of day, but it seem especially so as the sunlight faded. I left with tears in my eyes.
