OUR STORY:
The church had sent all the missionaries home from Argentina,
and everything was locked down and we were all staying
home, so we decided to spend the time volunteering. We
signed up on justserve.org for our time slot. We picked
up our kit of 100 masks on Tuesday and spent the next four
days sewing and sewing.
We set up our 8 foot table and got out the sewing machines. We made an assembly line. Megan would fold and pin the masks and Aspen and I would sew and cut strings. We laughed and played and watched lots of shows on Netflix to help pass the time. We worked and worked for several hours each day. Our fingers were raw and our backs ached, but we got it done. It was so satisfying see the piles of masks lined up on the table and know we were making a difference.
