"One day we celebrate every year, doing something special, is our Anniversary. This year we celebrated our 25th. We are so blessed. For this wonderful milestone year, we wanted to do it up right with an 11 day trip to the UK. We had previously taken a tour with CIE International, so we booked a tour again during our Anniversary, plus we added on 2 days before the tour started so we could do extra things in London.
It was a trip of a life time! We spent June 28 through 7/1 in London, then 7/2 in Liverpool and on our Anniversary, we were going to Scotland.
The itinerary of the tour had us stopping at Gretna Green on our actual Anniversary. This was special as Gretna Green is where a lot of British and Scottish couples go to to get married. “Gretna Green is one of the world's most popular wedding destinations, due to its romantic wedding traditions dating back over centuries, which originated from cross-border elopements stemming from differences between Scottish marriage laws and those in neighboring countries.”
A few of the Hotels that we were staying at also sent us best wishes with a beautiful Anniversary dessert share plate, and another, a beautiful fruit basket and card.
It was a fabulous trip and wonderful way to celebrate our 25th Anniversary!
