- MOC 2024 - Day 30 - Journaling Challenge - Connecting with Technology
Journaling - Todd was internet friends with a girl down the hall in my dorm. She was the first person I met with their own computer. When she had classes or whatever, I would chat with him and some of her other friends online (back when most people had dial-up).
After Colleen transferred to a business school closer to her home, Todd and I kept chatting together. Eventually, after we both graduated on our respective coasts, we met up when he came out to visit me in PA for a week. The rest they say is history. I moved to CA and a few years later we got married. Now, we have a house and a kid and a cat.
Back in the day, meeting people online was really weird (I can't tell you the number of people who said as much) and now it's pretty much standard for dating.
I never expected to be a trendsetter. Life is very strange at times.
