@umyesh, thank you. I love the idea of Week in the Life and I mostly love taking the photos except when it's 1600 and I remember to take my first photo! I'm kicking myself then but usually finish up with a photo walk within a week or so. I am NOT wedded to using only photos taken on the day I'm documenting. Now I'm working on the how to put it all together without feeling repetitive and getting it done.
I love the yellow background, it really makes the photos pop. I also like the big camera, perfect embellishment for this page. Thanks for joining the challenge!
Wow! This takes me back. I worked at NW 12th and Everett when it was an auto parts warehouse back in the late 80s! Crazy to see what the Pearl District has become! Used to walk all over that area at lunch, back when the brewery was still open. Loved browsing Powell's. Thanks for the memories!
@scrapchyck, You don't by chance mean the Bearing Service Company, do you? They are still on 11th & Everett. Yes, the area has certainly changed since the late 80s. I moved to Portland in 96 and it's changed so much since then also. I used to use the Lovejoy Viaduct to get to work on the east side. Thanks for stopping by.
@umyesh, I did my "reason why" and talked about how I've changed my approach since 2013, including doing this project every few years. It's just the two of us at home so every 2-3 years seems adequate. My 2013 album has detailed notes but no photos in the album. UGH! 2016 & 2019 need spine labels and maybe more but they look good. 2021 is totally finished. Good luck
@BLKinOR Bearing Service Company was there back then, but I worked for Jobbers Service Company/West Bearing. They moved further out into the NW Industrial area, I think.
