Beautiful page Liz.. love the beautiful shrub blooms and the photo of your backyard. So sorry you are in the flooded areas but hope it subsides soon. What a wonderful photo treatment you created. I am glad you got the feel for using it too... The pooh and piglet illustration is perfect here! Well done!
[I think sometimes when we save for web that it may over sharpen which is why you see a difference between what you see on your screen in your program versus what you post. Perhaps just save the page as a jpg (not saving for web) that you want to print with. Your page though came out really great. I just wanted to answer your comment that was in the thread where you noted the difference ]
Thank you for playing along with Paula's LOD day and you will also be entered in to Paula's special drawing!!
Thanks for all your input Christa... You are probably right about saving for web sharpening more... It is really soft and pretty on my screen... When it gets printed there will be no save for web involved.... I have a question, have been trying to figure out who I can ask... I am going to send you a PM and see if you have an answer...
I'm glad to hear that you achieved beautiful results in the end ) as I said in your post, this effect isnt an action or style, it's a PHOTOSHOP Editable Effect.
Working with Photoshop Editable Effects is incredibly user-friendly because of the Smart Object feature.
Smart Objects are layers that preserve an image's source content with all its original characteristics, enabling non-destructive editing. This means you can double-click on the Smart Object layer, and it will open up a separate window where you can edit the text or graphic. Once you save and close this window, the Smart Object within the main Photoshop file updates automatically with the changes.
The discrepancy in appearance between your screen and the preview can sometimes happen due to different color profiles or screen settings. If it looks grainy online but soft on your screen, it might be worth adjusting the resolution or the file format before uploading.
Your surroundings in CA, especially with the recent weather conditions, sound both challenging and inspiring. It's wonderful that you found beauty in nature amidst the chaos, capturing the blooming shrubs and the transformed Creek. These moments make for deeply meaningful journaling and photography. Keep embracing your creativity and exploring the beauty around you, even in the most unexpected places!
Thank you for playing along to celebrate my LOD Day!Good luck!!!
@paula kesselring I Paula, thanks for the info... going to save that... I have never quite understood Smart Objects, and find they get in my way, so I stay as far away from them as I can... I will save your commentary to one of the sticky notes on my screen for future reference
