Journaling: "Saturday morning. The first Saturday of your fifteenth year. The side yards are deep in grass, clover, and future goat heads. It’s deep and thick and wet. It’s so wet and thick that one pass down has you stopping to pull grass off the intake and into the bag. The pass back has you stopped again to empty the bag. Four full rounds requires a battery change. In honesty, it’s a lot. All of that and there you are with ear protection on and our little environmentally responsible mower chugging away. I know you don’t want to do this chore. I know it isn’t any fun. You should know I’m proud of you for doing this and persisting even though it's a pain in the arse to do. I love the human you are becoming."
