When I did my page for this challenge last week, I mentioned being torn between orange and pink and had done pages in both colors... posted the other, But I liked what I had done with the pink... So yesterday was Breast Cancer Awareness Day and in Redding that means they turn the lights on our bridge pink... had to go check it out last night.. so disappointed... looked up photos taken in 2009 and using the basic layout I tweaked pushed and shoved, and came of with this version of the template... this was done just for fun, but wanted to post it in this thread... since that is where it belongs... Enjoy!!!!
I'm sorry you were disappointed! The bridge looks beautiful! I love the way you used both photos to capture the event. I wonder what they changed in the lighting? You should send the city your 2009 photos and tell them to step it up!
@bestcee I went back 2 nights later and the whole bridge was nicely lit in a darker , but pretty pink, but the tail end had no lights at all... the red was all gone. I was told the first night by someone I talked to that she had heard there was a malfunction of the lights... so I guess that was the case.. Still does not explain, why the tail was not lit... originally the lights on the bridge were incandescent... after a few years they were replaced with banks of led's obviously because they were cheaper and longer lasting... The bridge has never been the same. It is a a working sundial ... called the Sundial Bridge if you want to google it...so the tail is what forms the working part of it... there are markers for the time on the ground, but it is only partial , because of the sheer size and limited ground space.
