Thank you ladies ! @bellbird well I think they did enjoy their vacation, but I confess to buying their good reviews of my humble establishment by bringing them mint leaves, which they love, on a every other day basis . DH joked all along that they would be disappointed to go back home and find their regular food not as good.
@Pheeebzzz wow mint, I would never have guessed they ate that! I was suprised to see the tomato in there but my daughter's friend has guinea pigs & she said she knew they ate a lot of carrots but it sounds like they will eat lots of different foods!
@bellbird Yes, they do eat mint and lots of other stuff (parsley too, apples, bananas, cucumber, zucchinis). Some foods are definitely to be avoided (oinions for instance) but the list of veggies & fruits & herbs then can eat is rather long. I googled to keep the list at hand so as not to give them any forbidden food (found one in English here, https://www.guineapiggles.co.uk/guinea-pig-food-chart, if you're curious ).
