It has been a lifelong relationship, Dave’s love of the game of basketball. He can’t remember a time when basketball was not a part of his being. He was a player from the time he was in grade school. He played on his 4H, junior high, and high school teams and even holds the single-game scoring record at Bennett (44) points). He went on to play college ball at Wayne State and later coached high school basketball. When he gave up coaching he picked up the whistle and refereed basketball games for several years. After moving to Seattle, he rekindled his love of the game by coaching the grandkid’s teams. This week was his final game, the last time he would coach, deciding to turn over the team duties to the younger parents. He will now move on to another important role in the game-the super fan cheering on Connor.
